Review by hotel critic
Review of Apex HotelAs an archaeologist accustomed to exploring the cultural landscapes of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, I found my recent visit to the Apex Hotel a lesson in balancing luxury and value. Located centrally, merely 200 meters from the bus station, I appreciated the convenience to local attractions, including the riverfront, albeit the town itself seemed lacking in charm. The room was pragmatic and comfortable, featuring air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. My night was not free of interruptions, as a swarm of mosquitoes evident in the area caused some discomfort. The housekeeping staff maintained a satisfactory level of cleanliness. Breakfast offered was decent yet unremarkable, offering little culinary joy. For travelers wishing to explore, car hire services are available, but one should note the challenges of navigating the area without transportation, as Tuk Tuks were scarce during my late-night outings. While the hotel provides essential services, including laundry and a bar/lounge, I strongly advise future guests to consider room placement-higher floors promise a quieter retreat. For a short stay en route to natural attractions such as Tatai, Apex presents acceptable value if you're prepared to prioritize functionality over luxury.
